Arrival at Guwahati Airport by air. Enroute visit Umiam Lake. Later visit Ward’s Lake (tue closed).Evening explore the local market. Overnight in Shillong.
Morning after breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee enroute visit to Elephant Falls and Mawkdok Valley view point. Later on arrival, visit to Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Garden of Caves, Eco Park and Wah Kaba Falls. Overnight in Shillong.
Please note: (Garden of Caves has a total of 11 spots in close vicinity of each other and you go through a path to cover them all, it takes atleast 2-3 hours to cover the entire area)
After breakfast drive towards Mawlynnong Village. Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 kms from Shillong and is a community based eco-tourism initiative. The community has made collective effort to maintain the ambience of a clean village. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living Root Bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Later on short trek to the Living Root Bridge (30 minutes) and explore the village. Also visit Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh border), one can enjoy boat ride at crystal clear water of Umngot River (boat ride on direct payment basis). Evening drive back to Shillong & overnight stay.
After early breakfast, transfer to Guwahati city to visit Kamakhya Temple. Later, transfer to airport to board flight for onwards destination. (Late evening flight recommended) Note: Kamakhya Temple Special Darshan Tickets are available on the Maa Kamakhya Temple official website.
